
Sample Outdoor Adventure Education Voyage Itinerary
Since the prime objective of our Echo outdoor adventure education program is to develop your sailing and leadership skills, we provide a general itinerary and count on you to take control of it and adapt it to the program goals. Our staff will guide you and your crew in planning - you'll draw on their knowledge of these islands to come up with a plan that will be as challenging as it is rewarding.

Days 1-3 Road Town, Tortola
Meet your crewmates and staff and settle in comfortably on board your new home, a 50' modern sloop, as you prepare for your 3-week voyage.
Days 4-6 Little Harbor, Cane Garden Bay, Jost Van Dyke, and Nanny Cay
Begin comprehensive sailing and basic keelboat instruction in the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Experience the true Caribbean as you visit the best beaches in the BVI. Master your first docking. Sharpen your keelboat and racing skills on IC-24s. You're ready to take full command of your boat!
Days 7-10 The Bight, Norman Island, Village Cay, Baths, and Trellis Bay
Search for Norman Island's rumored treasure while snorkeling its caves. Discuss group dynamics at beautiful anchorages. Try scuba diving on the Wreck of the Rhone. After much practice and exams, complete your basic keelboat certification. The Baths are next – words can hardly describe this natural wonder!
Days 11-13 Bitter End Yacht Club, Anegada, and Monkey Point
Enjoy the best water sports in the Caribbean at the Bitter End Yacht Club. Get your sailing lesson ready to teach your crew. Set sail 12 miles offshore to the 30' high Anegada and its amazing reefs.
Days 14-16 Oyster Pond, St. Martin, Gustavia, St. Barth, and Ladder Bay, Saba
Prepare for your first overnight sail to Marigot, St. Martin—true blue-water sailing! "Med-moor" in Gustavia, St. Barth's. Take in the French culture on a memorable island tour and enjoy a night out with your crew! Then on to diving and snorkeling in Saba - spectacular!
Days 17-21 Ile Fourche, Saba, Virgin Gorda, and Road Town
Navigate to mystical Saba and hike to her summit! Set your course for your final challenge—your overnight passage back to the BVI. The last night is one to remember as you say your goodbyes.
