Today, we woke up in Great Harbour and had an amazing breakfast of cinnamon rolls! Soon after we dropped our mooring balls and headed off for Salt Island where we learned how to anchor for the first time this program. We chose the perfect spot with shallow sandy bottom coverage and snorkeled the anchor to ensure it was set. We swam and splashed around until we saw the dive boat approaching and our Open Water divers prepared themselves for diving.
The rest of the crew shuttled to shore on Salt where we learned about the wreck of the RMS Rhône and how the people of Salt Island rescued members of the crew. We hiked to the peak of the island and took in the 360 degree vista view around us. We returned to boats in time for the sunset as we ocean showered and cooked taco salads for dinner.
After we cleaned, everyone settled in for a quiet night on board and a wonderful evening under the stars.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
