Alpha 1 & Tango 1: Day 6 – Long Bay and Trellis Bay

By wpdev July 3, 2021

Day 6

The morning was quick. Students got up, eat breakfast and up-anchored all by 8 am. The boats made their way from Lee Bay to Long Bay for an epic morning of water sports. Students whizzed around on the tubes and jumped off the boat in between rides. The hot dog tube was a huge hit, especially by our Tango boat. The students could have probably tubed the entire day if we had time!

After a sunny morning at Long Bay and a windy ride over to Trellis Bay, the boats all tied to a mooring ball and got ready for dinner. The weather consisted of a bit more wind than normal but everyone had a safe night on their boats. The excitement of being released from quarantine in the morning was keeping everyone’s spirits high. Even though the boats have had been able to interact from a distance, they were looking forward to meeting new faces and hanging out on the other boats.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
