Alpha 1 & Tango 1: Day 8 – The Bight
Day 8
Happy Fourth of July! The morning was spent swimming and shopping on Scrub Island. Students dressed in red, white and blue could be seen running around, taking pictures with their friends and getting some last-minute treats at the deli. Advanced Open Water students spent the morning with Sail Caribbean Divers.
After a lunch of pizza bagels, the boats de-docked and made their way to The Bight Bay off of Norman Island. During the sail, students reviewed right of way and points of sail.
In honor of the 4th, students went ashore for dinner at The Bight and hung out on the beach for the rest of the evening. The boats were able to mingle with the entire fleet. Silly stories were shared over a buffet of burgers, veggie burgers, chicken and mahi-mahi
