Today, we woke up and started our day off with breakfast and getting to know each other better! After breakfast, the fleet got off their mooring balls at Cooper Island and headed to Little Harbour, Peter Island. Underway, we practiced downwind sailing and learned about a Mediterranean anchorage, a skill we would need for securing our vessels at the destination’s cove.

After all the boats arrived and anchored, it was lunch time and then more bonding between all the boats when everyone partook in a cannonball contest. It was definitely a good afternoon filled with laughs and fun. Then, it was time for boat showers and dinner prep of jerk chicken and plantains which everyone loved. Post dinner, everyone cleaned the boats and held their boat meeting to end the night.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
