The day began with Maisey and Kevin motoring us early in the morning to The Baths on Virgin Gorda. We awoke there and had breakfast, then swam to shore to explore the area. Perry, our fleet captain, explained the history of the area, and how the boulders were actually used for baths in the days where there was no running water. We also learned about how the boulders were formed through solidified lava, then the softer rocks were worn away to form giant rounded rocks. We then snorkeled round to Jump Rock where we got to jump off one of the 15 foot boulders into the ocean. Sophie, Valeria, Steve and Daniel all saw some pretty amazing sea life. Bryce, Kirk, Chris and Noah were doing some pretty sweet jumps, and thankfully none of them ended up belly flopping.

We returned to the boat for lunch, then began the deep cleaning process. Once the boat was looking perfect, we began our last sail together and set a course for Hodges Creek Marina. It was a weird feeling setting the sails one final time, but amazing to look back and realize how much we have all learned together.

We arrived back at Hodges and docked successfully. We then finished anything else that needed to be done, like packing or finishing cleaning. We also got to phone home before our long day of traveling tomorrow. After dinner, we had the traditional Sail Caribbean leaving ceremony. For the occasion, we had prepared skits by the crews, and they were all really funny. Elinor and Josie even wrote two songs: one was a rap about Perry and the other was a tribute to Maisey. The staff also did skits of the students which were pretty hilarious as well, and we all received paper plate awards! It was a great end to an amazing trip and we will all miss each other so much; none of us can believe that our time has come to an end.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
