We woke up today to the beautiful sunrise at Salt Island after a still night on anchor. Once we had some breakfast, the Open water divers got ready for their final dives before becoming certified! Meanwhile, the non-divers prepared the boat ready for departure to head to Nanny Cay marina. Although the sail was somewhat short, with only three knots of wind we still had to motor some. Underway, the students learned knots and had some fun with riddles. With students on the helm, both boats maneuvered perfectly.
After docking, the divers returned and the boats were deep cleaned. After passing inspection, we were allowed our phones back to call home, to check in with friends, family and loved ones. Shortly after calling home, we were given three hours to spend relaxing at the beach, playing beach games, swimming in the pool and browsing the few shops at the marina.
After a very relaxing afternoon, we headed back to boats for dinner prep of honey soy chicken stir-fry. After dinner, to celebrate the five birthdays on program we headed back to the beach for some delicious ice cream sundaes and a beach social with all of the Tango and Alpha fleet. We then headed to bed, bellies full of ice cream and laughter, for an early night’s sleep.
