Alpha Day 6: CHALLENGE DAY!!!

By wpdev June 28, 2014

27th of June, written by the crew of Venture!

This morning we woke up early to depart from Little Harbor.  Phil and Renee decided that today we would have a challenge sail, meaning that we would sail without outside help!

We left little harbor and sailed around Peter Island which included a different upwind leg.  We landed in Salt Island and snorkeled the Wreck of the Rhone, which was really cool!  After lunch we dropped our mooring and sailed to Nanny Cay.  After a smooth landing and some very nice showers, we got to explore the island and everybody enjoyed some ice cream from Nutter Butter.

We finished the day with dinner at a local restaurant.

Today we did a great job of tacking but we need to work on listening.

Miracle moment, Nanny showers!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
