We woke up at 7:30am and had breakfast. After breakfast we split between divers and non divers to sail from The Bight to Sopers. The non divers dropped the ball at 9:30am and arrived at the Bight around 11:30. While divers went to the Indians and Rainbow Canons. Divers then returned to The Bight around 12 and arrived at Sopers around 1:30.

Upon arrival at Sopers we had some shore time for about 3 hours. Campers had the opportunity to go to the supermarket, clothing stores and restaurants. We then returned to our boats where we had ocean showers. We then had dinner followed by boat clean. The navigator, skipper and mate for the following day then went to staff boat to prepare for challenge day. We closed out the evening with boat meeting followed by power down.

Day 8:

Today our fleet woke up to a Sail Caribbean tradition, challenge day! Today campers are in charge of fully sailing the boat themselves as a crew without help of captains and mates, following navigation and the schedule of the day. We started the day off with breakfast followed by pre-departure checks. We dropped the ball and the crew worked together to motor out of the channel, raise sails, and tack up wind to Little Harbor. After about a 3 hour sail we arrived at little harbor and med anchored as a crew. After getting all settled and debriefing the sail as a crew, we cooked lunch and listened to a marine bio lesson about fish and climate change. We then went on a snorkel and identified fish. After, we swam around, tubed, paddle boarded, and spent time hanging out with each other on the boat. A few of us even had the chance to sail the Colgate. When the sun started to set, we began our ocean showers, made dinner, and finished out the day cleaning the boat and reminiscing on our day.
