Alpha students awoke early this a beautiful morning at Cooper Island Beach Club, with a delicious breakfast of egg muffins with sausages. Most students spent the morning ashore doing water sports and an awesome snorkel of Cistern Rock, while the Open Water students completed their final two dives, returning that afternoon as fully certified Open water divers!!!

With everyone back to their boats for a pesto pasta lunch and a quick boat clean, fun divers left for their afternoon dive, while the other students prepared their boats for a super upwind sail to Virgin Gorda. En route, the crews of Venture and Galilee learned how to set the anchor on their boats, in preparation for a night spent on anchor at gorgeous Savannah Bay. At the end of the sail, both boats set their anchor securely on their first try! Students got busy with boat showers and dinner preparation. Day 7 ended for the Alpha fleet with a quiet night on board, a boat meeting, and some cookie snacking among friends.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
