Alpha 1 & Tango 1: Day 11 – Trellis Bay Sushi Night!

By wpdev July 9, 2021

Day 11

Challenge Day! The students fully participate in sailing and motoring the boat every day, but today their Captain and Mates kept quiet and let the students run the show without extra input. The students had to up-anchor at Little Harbour and dock at Village Cay in Road Town to get Covid tested for the final time while in the BVI.

The testing went smooth and students had lunch on the docks before completing the next challenge of de-docking and heading to Trellis Bay.

In honor of such a successful Challenge Day, the students had the opportunity to go to shore and enjoy dinner at Marche Sushi. It was nice to get dressed up and have a night off from cooking on the boats. The sushi was amazing and our non-sushi eaters were able to get some yummy hot food such as fish & chips, burgers and much more.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
