The day began with the staff motoring us to The Baths where we had breakfast once we had arrived. We swam to shore and had a short hike to explore the area and have a closer look at the volcanic rock formations. After, we swam over to Jump Rock where there was a rope ladder set up for us to easily climb the boulders and jump into the sea. It was a lot of fun and people were showing off the different jumps they could do. We then swam back to boats and set sail to return back to Hodges Creek Marina. Matt was our captain on this last day and it was strange to think that our amazing journey would soon come to an end, coming full circle back to Hodges.

We had lunch when we docked then began to deep clean the boat and pack. It’s amazing how far astray your stuff goes in such a short period of time. We then finished with the boat and had our final meal of chicken, potato salad, and corn on the cob. We finished the evening with the Sail Caribbean tradition of receiving paper plate awards. They were all very fitting, especially for Will, whose award reflected his love of bacon, and Garrett, for his skills in sailing. We then all hung out with each other for a bit until we fell asleep.

Today our crew did a great job of working as a team to clean the boat and showed amazing skill at jump rock. The most memorable moment were those final few hours spending time with each other.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
