Tip-tap, tip-tap, tip-tap , shwooooo. The sounds of rain pattering down on the decks above us sang us slowly into the waking of the day. Those mornings are special; an enjoyment that links all of us together. Those quiet moments that stick in your heart forever, lying cozy in a warm bed as the gray sky churns gracefully above you.

This morning, we got to share that special occasion as a fleet. Sleeping in until 8 a.m. and then enjoying a casual, slow breakfast of banana pancakes, just like out of the Jack Johnson song.

When we finally arose and emerged from below decks to greet the day and the rain, we turned on our engines and headed to Scrub Island Resort. Where we tucked away from the rain and celebrated our safe place by swimming in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and indulging in smoothies.

The rain came and went but we could hardly even notice. The whole day was spent playing and laughing and embracing the energy rolling through.

We ended our day the way it began, quietly, together and to the cadence of rain on the deck.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
