Day 7

The fleet went to shore in the morning, loaded into a few truck beds and headed to Loblolly Beach. We started the day off with a beach clean. It was amazing to see how big of an impact one hour of cleaning can do for the environment. Moet and Kajsa filled the most trash bags and were rewarded with a special treat from the staff boat.

After the beach clean, students were able to order cold drinks, food and ice cream at Big Bamboo Beach Bar. Everyone hung out and had a great time! Students were trying out the slackline and buying souvenirs at the gift shop. Next, we got back in the trucks and went to the shark pool to hang out with some baby sharks.

Everyone was back on their boat and eating lunch around 1 pm. The boats had a nice sail back to Tortola and hooked a mooring ball in Trellis Bay for the night.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
