Today, we had our ever popular Bitter End Day! It started off with a normal wake up time of 7:30a.m., followed by breakfast and then we went to shore! The summer season is ending down here and Bitter End was almost deserted. We had it nearly to ourselves!

Once we got to shore, there was a lesson on fish body shape and identification. After all that learning, students had the opportunity to sign up for tubing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, small boat sailing, or Poparazzi, our infamous, giant inflatable watersporting tube. Everyone got a chance to do the activities they wanted and to hang out with friends and staff for the whole day.

At 5p.m., we went back to our respective boats and cleaned up after such a long, fun-filled day. Steak fajitas were for dinner and after, we held a boat meeting before everyone powered down for bed. It was a wonderful, sunny Bitter End day for the books! We couldn’t have asked for a better one to end the season on.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
