Alpha Day 4

By wpdev July 26, 2014
Today’s trip update comes from Venture!

Having woken up at 7:15, we ate breakfast and set sail from Salt Island to Great Harbor in Peter Island.

On the boat, we learned points of sail and how to jibe.  The crew was outstanding both in their jibes and tacks. After arriving at Peter Island, we went for a snorkel and saw lots of beautiful creatures.  We even found a barracuda, which scared us a little! Soon after the divers left to do more of their confined water sessions, the rest of the group went tubing.  Ethan B., tubed while standing on his feet. “It was pretty sick!’ he later remarked.  When we reconvened later, a couple of us took part on cooking a delicious meal.  Overall, its been a great day!”

Today our crew did a great job of: Jibes and tacks

We need to work on: Doing all of our jobs

Quote of the day: Why is this Banana in the Dinghy

Miracle moment: when dinner was edible

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
