The crew awoke on the docks at Nanny Cay as the clocks struck 7:00a.m. to a bright sun and light breeze. Everyone ate breakfast quickly and cleaned even quicker so they could maximize time spent at the grocery store and the shops before heading over the beach for some beach games and pool time. By mid-morning, we were launching into pre-departure checks and strategizing over a de-docking plan before making the bitter sweet departure from Nanny’s docks.

Once past the channel markers, we raised sails and pointed towards Marina Cay! Underway, we reviewed tacking, learned about right of way and performed Man-Overboard drills all before executing a flawless silent mooring ball pickup. After a debrief, we sat through a coral lesson and hopped in the water for a snorkel over Diamond Reef.

We headed back to boats for a shower and dinner preparation. Our top chefs served up a beautiful steak dinner so that by the time the food coma had set in, dinner clean was completed, and boat meeting commenced, the crew was thrilled to close out another beautiful day in the Caribbean and prepare for their coming adventures.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
