Today, we woke up at Little Harbour, which is located on the beautiful Peter Island. We decided to return to the Bight on Norman Island for a fun beach day! While under sail today, the crew of Fermi had the opportunity to circumnavigate Norman Island. By circumnavigating Norman, Fermi got to see what the backside of Norman Island looks like, which is something the other students do not get to see. When everyone met up at the Bight, both crews got to enjoy a delicious lunch of pizza bagels!

Students that live on Fermi found a bucket and a deck brush on the ocean floor and gave them to Rioja since they lost theirs at VGYH. Once lunch was finished, students got to snorkel, jump off their boats, and all hang out with each other before divers were picked up. When divers left for their afternoon dives, the rest of the students headed to shore. While on shore, we all went on a hike around the island and got to go on the Poparazzi. Students and staff members also went water sporting around the Bight.

Once divers returned, we all headed back to boats for showers and dinner prep. For dinner, we had pasta with vegetables and Alfredo sauce. We finished the day with a boat meeting and activities that helped us get to know each other better. Staff also announced that tomorrow will be Challenge day! Challenge day is when the staff hand over the boat to the students to show off what they have learned so far this program. It was a quiet night on board and students went to bed excited to travel to Jost Van Dyke the next day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
