Bravo 1 & Charlie 1 2015 – Day 14

written by Photography mate, Erin Wildermuth, Brought to you by the crew of Fermi

Today, the fleet took a break from diving and instead completed two sails conjoined by a visit to Sandy Cay, one of the most beautiful islands in the British Virgin Islands. The site was used to film Pirates of the Caribbean and you half expect to see a velociraptor or tyrannosaurus roam out from the vibrant green foliage straight out of Jurassic Park.

On Fermi, Ford was skipper of the day and did a great job keeping everyone on track and on schedule. Ford, Jackson, Frances and Chris all took turns at the helm, while practicing our man-overboard drills. Chris even did his blindfolded! Dante participated enthusiastically, saving a reviving man overboard – a fender called Wilson. Jackson saw a nurse shark – fulfilling his number one summer goal. Hayes and Ford found the shark.

Reagan, Murrie, Annie, Jackie, Frances and Chris enjoyed their time at Sandy Bay, where they found beautiful views and an epic climbing tree.

Upon our arrival at Little Harbor, Ben and Jackson tied the secondary before sitting down to dinner, taking boat showers and turning in for the evening.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
