Bravo 1 & Charlie 1 2015 – Day 20

The morning was charming as always, but made even more so by the million pancakes Hayes made for breakfast. It was a day of bouldering at the Baths National Park, deep cleaning our boats and enjoying our last evening together. The Baths are a natural rock formation – granite boulders with beautiful ponds for splashing and playing. Dante saw his old friend – Sweet Ice Willie – who had driven us to the Salt Mine earlier in the year. They greeted each other fondly. The morning was lovely but all good things must end.

We docked at Hodges Creeks. Our skipper of the day, Chris, did a lovely job of maneuvering inside the marina. Murrie also excelled in her role as our navigator. After lunch, cleaning began. On Fermi, Ben led the initiative by listing out the things needing doing and assigning chores. Jackson and Annie tackled the salon. Frances, Reagan and Jackie left the deck sparkly clean.

In the evening, the kids put together playful skits, performed them and giggled incessantly at the many jokes we shared within the program. Peak performance by Fermi portrayed Ford trying every method possible to wake Murrie up, finally resorting to a watery bed-shower. Sleep came slowly as no one was looking forward to saying goodbye.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
