Little Harbour to Mountain Point via the Dogs

Captain: Maeve
Navigator: Erin
Mate: Anton

Today, we all had a late wake up at 8:00a.m.! Yummy banana bread by Aoife, made with help from Stella and Maeve, was quickly eaten for breakfast before we dropped our mooring ball at Little Harbour. We had a long sail to George Dog, during which Stella and Michael made pizza bagels for lunch. We played hot seat and jammed out to Latin music during the sail. Justin got to go on a ride on a RIB back to Tortola to go to the doctor because he had a little ear pain. He said the RIB ride was as much fun as tubing and it was the best part of his day! At George Dog we cleaned the boat top to bottom and snorkeled as we did a “Coral Watch” as part of our community service to monitor and save coral reefs. Erin saw a really cool parrot fish and some very beautiful jellyfish.

We then moved on to Mountain Point, after a snack of tiny sandwiches and peanut butter on apple slices. We dropped the anchor, showered and watched the sun set from one of the most beautiful views in the BVI. We had awesome breakfast for dinner (“Brinner”), prepared by Max and Maeve. We had a relaxed evening with a LOT of giggling and silliness especially from Anton and Jakub, dive homework and countless card games.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
