The day began with an early morning breakfast because our Rescue Divers got picked up to continue their training at Long Bay. Once the divers left, Meursault, Fermi, and Montlouis traveled as a gorgeous fleet to Trellis Bay on Tortola which is located right next to Marina Cay.

At Trellis, the crews of Meursault and Montlouis went on a hike to explore Beef Island. While they were hiking, everyone on Fermi got to go on a truck tour to see all of Tortola and even get some delicious ice cream! When everyone returned to Trellis, we went back to our boats to swim around and enjoy a lunch.

In the afternoon, some of our divers left to continue their Advanced Open Water training and everyone else headed to shore. On shore at Trellis, there is Aragorn’s Studio, which is a local artist’s art studio full of a variety of hand crafted artwork and t-shirts. Students who live on Montlouis and Meursault then got to go on their truck tours around Tortola while Fermi got to enjoy playing on a water trampoline in the shallows of the bay.

Once everyone returned to his or her home boat, we got ready for dinner and everyone showed off their cool purchases to all of their friends! After dinner, our Advanced Open Water, specialty divers, and fun divers left at 6:30 p.m. for their second night dive of program! We completed the day with a boat meeting and a few games to get to know each other even better!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
