Today, started with an early morning delicious breakfast in the mooring field of Cooper Island. Divers left for their morning dive, while the rest of us prepared for a sail over to Dead Man’s Bay, Peter Island. Once the divers were finished and picked up, the boats went over a quick plan on how to depart and set their sails for a smooth ride.

Underway, we learned about tacking, jibing, sail trim, and anchoring. We sailed for about two hours before arriving at Dead Man’s Chest. There, we made lunch and enjoyed some music and swimming before heading ashore for some beach time.

Ashore, we went for a little hike, played some beach games, and got to know each other a bit better before heading back to boats to prep some yummy fajitas for dinner. After dinner, we held a boat meeting where we went over the schedule for tomorrow and participated in some true course curriculum games before powering down for some sleep before the busy day ahead.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
