Brought to you by JP…

For the first real day of sailing, we successfully left Hodge’s Creek marina with the help of the whole crew. Everyone learned the ins and outs of our boat.

With Parker’s navigation, we arrived safely to our destination. Although everyone was itching to get into the water, we first ate lunch prepared for us by Maddie and Alec. Robby was the first one in the water, retrieving a plate blown off the deck.
The Charlie students got to go on their first dive today–Maddie, Parker, Daniel, and Tyler went to the Indians to go on the first dive of the session; it was incredible! When we returned, we were greeted by our captain, Matt, who took Angelica, Jorge, and Emily tubing. The group ate dinner together which was made by Parker and Emily.
We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other and watching the awesome stars, here at Key Bay!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
