Chalpha Day 4

By wpdev August 9, 2014

Brought to you by Vivaldi.

After sleeping in to 7:30, we left The Bight for Cooper Island. Everyone got a lot of tacking practice, making the other boats wish they were as good as us!

As we approached Cooper, Mother Nature decided to throw a huge squall right in our face, but we decided to ride through it, taking down our sails, of course. While mooring, Aidan was on the helm, Meghan hooked, and Hadyn threaded. Matt also sat in the corner and looked good.

Matt and Greg made a wonderful lunch consisting of all of the leftovers rolled into a wrap; delicious!
While the Alpha and Charlie divers went diving, Grace hung out on the boat, and Meghan worked on her Basic Keelboat certification. Grace, Meghan, Lindsay, along with Ally and Michael from Venture made an amazing dinner consisting of tilapia, broccoli, and sweet potato fries. The Charlie kids and Hadyn went on a night dive and completed their Advanced Open Water certification! After diving, Anna and Mary did some serious dancing during bucket showers to Greg’s amazing playlist. “Greg and the Belgies” was created today!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
