Brought to you by Monet I…

The day at the Bitter End came to a sweet end after hours of fun in and out of the water. Students slept in while the staff, Renee and Clodagh, brought the boat into the mooring field (a special reward after challenge day). While on shore, Gustavo kicked off the day with a game of soccer on the beach and Luca immediately ordered himself an iced tea. To catch up on some cardio , Eric, Ezra, Emily, Santi, Jeff, and Andra took a breathtaking hike tot he island summit where they got a glimpse of the beached, boats, ocean, and surrounding islands. Drew began the day with a strawberry daiquiri (virgin, of course) and then hopped on the Paparazzi tube for  some gnarly wipeouts! Following their hike, Emily, Andra, and Santi went out for a sail in a Hobie-cat with the wind in perfect condition to lean them into water at high speeds. At a slower pace, Claire relaxed in a shady hammock and read ‘Missing’, beginning to end. Overall, it was a day full of excitement and laughter concluded with sore bodies and tired, yet happy, students.DSCF3350

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
