Charlie/ Bravo Day 2: Brought to you by the crew of Vivaldi.

By wpdev July 16, 2014
We were welcomed to island life with a quick rainstorm during the middle of the night, which had everyone up and running below decks! At 7:00, we woke up, had breakfast, checked in at the dive shop, and got ready for our first sail. Thanks to Vincent, the skipper, we had a flawless de-docking. Nick and Shane with communication during the de-docking. Once we got out of Hodges Creek, Craig and Matt raised the main sail. Everyone took a turn on the helm and Timmy performed our first tack! Rob, Craig, and Nick successfully picked up the mooring ball on their first try! We went for our first swim of the trip so far. All eight crew-members onboard Vivaldi set up hammocks on the deck for our first night’s sleep on the water. Matt and Timmy cooked BBQ chicken for dinner with a couscous salad and Tanner valiantly cleaned up after we ate. Cass and Joe, our counselors, did a great job with everything today and we are all excited for the rest of what Sail Caribbean will bring!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
