The crews began their day by being woken up to a flag raising ceremony to celebrate the 4th of July! Everyone enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon as traditional independence music whimsically played in the background.

Once the boats were clean, we headed to Shell beach! Shell beach is a beautiful little beach with a restaurant and a rock where students were able to safely cliff jump.

Once we arrived, everyone hunted for beautiful sea shells and enjoyed the clear blue water. Then, it was time to tour the island! We had the opportunity to ride around in rental Mini Coopers to explore St. Barth’s! We all enjoyed getting to see the breathtaking views and how amazing it was to watch the airplanes land. While some of us waited to take turns touring around, the rest of us had the opportunity to go cliff jumping off the jump rock!

Everyone loved celebrating the 4th of July together and on such a beautiful island! At night, we got the chance to hold a social ashore to enjoy sodas and hang out among friends. It was an early night because we will be traveling to St. Kitt’s tomorrow. Sneak preview: It will be Challenge Day when we rise!

More photos coming soon!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
