Today was our final morning together with the Alpha fleet; we are separating to go to Leverick Bay on Virgin Gorda. Leverick will be our final destination in the BVI before heading down island!

Pre-depature checks were completed and students lead the sail all the way up to the North Sound. Once we arrived at Leverick, students headed to shore to enjoy shops, the pool, and the beach. Everyone enjoyed getting some souvenirs and some sodas and snacks from the restaurant.

We all headed home to our boats for dinner of barbecue chicken and mashed potatoes. After dinner, we all worked really hard to make our boats clean so we could go to shore for a social! Students had time to hang out on the beach and get smoothies. We also had boat meeting ashore where we discussed the plan for the next day, which is preparing for our night sail to St Martin!

More photos coming soon!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
