Yesterday was 4th of July and all the staff were dressed as superheroes! We had an awesome breakfast of bacon and egg sandwiches. The Advanced divers were off to complete their final two dives to their certification, and the rest of us stayed on-board and were joined by Mayotte for a Squid Dissection!

After, we promptly set sail for George Dog to pick up the divers. It was windy and choppy on the outside of the islands. Salome broke their speed record with 10.3 knots!

After the divers’ pickup, we pushed on to Leverick Bay. We were all so excited for our 4th of July party! Our docking was smooth and we passed the cleaning inspection first go. We were able to have our phones, go to the shops, play in the pool and take a nice long land shower.

Fresh and clean for the party, we enjoyed a cookout and danced to a DJ Sail Caribbean invited! It was an extremely entertaining evening but wiped us all out from dancing and laughing. We held our nightly boat meeting and were all in bed by 10.00p.m Ready for de-docking and snorkeling adventures tomorrow!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
