The day began with a relaxed morning of snorkeling, water sporting and time spent relaxing on our boats. There was also an exciting lesson on plankton delivered by one of our mates. After a morning of rest, relaxation and learning, it was time to eat lunch and prepare for our downwind sail from Mountain Point on Virgin Gorda to Trellis Bay on Beef Island.

After a short sail, we arrived at Trellis Bay and had a lesson on sustainability in preparation for our snorkel and trash clean of Trellis. During that time, there were also rotations for truck tours of Tortola and shop time for our students. During the truck tour, the students were driven along the windy roads and pathways of our home island or Tortola, reaching the highest peaks of this beautiful isle.

Before we knew it, it was time to return to our boats for showers and dinner.  As the day came to a close, the students could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed the day and how excited they were for more to see and explore tomorrow.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
