Foxtrot Day 7

By wpdev August 11, 2014

Day 7 was an early start for the open water divers that would be completing their certification today!  The rest of the program went ashore at The Bight for a morning hike that provided some awesome panoramic views of the British Virgin Islands.  After the hike down, we all hung out on the beach for a bit, playing volleyball, floating around and even some napping on the lounge chairs.

After lunch, the divers came back and we all went for a snorkel at the caves!  We saw some awesome coral structures and even a hawksbill turtle.  From there, we dropped our mooring balls and headed north toward Jost Van Dyke.  After an exciting sail through the Thatch Cut, made our way to Little Harbor, where we all went ashore for some dinner at Sidney’s.  After some ice cream and a little shopping for souvenirs, everyone went back to boats to chill out, digest, and get ready for the day ahead.

We also got the chance to look at the GoPro video we took of Danielle catching a huge Green Turtle! Here are some stills from it:

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
