The students woke up bright and early for the final time, took their bags and left Hodges Creek Marina, waving goodbye to the staff, their boats and friends they must leave behind. It was a bittersweet moment for both students and staff. The staff have enjoyed teaching and learning from the amazing students of the Sierra 2 and Foxtrot 2 program. We value every student that comes through our programs and each student brings something unique and special to the boats. We hope that the students learned valuable lessons and skills throughout the three weeks, ones that they can bring back and apply to their lives back home. It was a very enjoyable program with days filled with smiles and laughter. It is sad to see the students go, but we hope to see them return to us next year!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
