By wpdev July 9, 2014

Captain of the day of Geneve: Samantha
Mate: Seth
Navigator: Nico
Little Harbour to Dead Man’s Bay
We left Jost Van Dyke today and made our way to Dead Man’s Bay. Along the way we tacked about 100 times and sailed until we were exhausted. In the afternoon after we arrived, the divers went on a deep dive and wreck – we finished our advanced certification YAY!!At night we had a chili cook off, which was really fun! We spent hours preparing our presentation and chili for the “Chileans” which we came to find were actually just staff…Dave hula danced for us and we ate some yummy chili – thanks Ronny and Gale!
Today our crew did a great job of cooking chili and sailing. We need to work on cleaning and being excited about sailing. Our miracle moment was the CHILI COOK-OFF!!
Quote of the day: “my chili has a first name, its c-h-i-l-i. My chili has a second name, its aye aye aye aye aye!!”

Pictures to follow.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
