We left the docks at Nanny Cay after a delicious apple crumble for breakfast. The de-docking went very smoothly even though there was unexpected current pushing the boat. It was a beautiful day for a sail over to the Pirate’s Bight on Norman Island.

The DSD divers got to go out on the dive boat for their first dive. The rest of the Alpha students came over to Vieques and joined our group for a motor over to the Indians. Everyone partook in a lesson about coral and then we went for a snorkel around the giant rock islands to see some different types of coral.

We returned to the Bight to pick up the divers, shower, then go to shore for a sunset hike. The whole fleet hiked up to the helipad at the top of the hill and played some games from the vista look out. Everyone really loved the game Oh Captain, My Captain which is a nautical Simon Says game!

More photos coming soon!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
