This morning, we woke up at the Bight on Norman Island after a peaceful night of sleep. We ate a delicious breakfast of loaded scrambled eggs and toast and then completed pre-departure checks to head towards Hodges Creek Marina. During our sail we raised our mainsail and learned how to unfurl the jib! Once we got to Hodges, we had our first docking and it was an extreme success!

While on docks, we played cards and made macaroni before our truck tour of Tortola and scuba diving for our Discover Scuba Divers. During our ride, we were able to see a view of the British Virgin Islands for miles at a lookout called Sky Bar and Lounge. After seeing all of Tortola on our truck tour, we drove to Road Town and stopped at La Dolce Vita for ice cream! Everyone was overjoyed to get an icy treat. We headed back to docks and prepared to sail to Salt Island.

After an hour sail, we reached Salt Island, where we spent the night and completed our first anchoring! We got an opportunity to hang out with our friends on the Alpha fleet for a bit and then came back to I Am Free for showers, dinner, and power-down. We had an early night to get ready for our next exciting day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
