Tango Day 7!

By wpdev July 20, 2014
Skipper of the Day: Jake

Navigator: Max

Mate Missy

Port of Departure: Nanny Cay Marina, Final Destination: The Bight, Norman Island

Today we had eggs and bacon for breakfast.  After we learned that we could go on shore to shops, we cleaned up breakfast really fast.  At 11 we had a successful de-docking and we headed towards The Bight.

At the Bight, Jeremy, Sam, Claire, and Jake continued their open water certification while Missy went on some fun dives.  Zane, a tube fanatic, convinced the rest of the group to take the wakeboard and tube out for the afternoon and everyone had a great time.

When we got back to the boat, we jumped off the beam for the first time. Everyone tried out some cannonballs while we showered and started dinner prep.  After dinner, the counselors gave us full responsibility for cleaning up dinner and let us decide how to work together and get our jobs done. When that was done, we we went ashore for some sodas and cookies while we had our boat meeting.

Quote of the day: “hashtag,whalewatchers!”

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
