The day started off with a 7:30a.m. wake up. After a delicious breakfast, our divers prepared for their 8:30a.m. dive, while the rest of the kids prepped the boat for departure. At approximately 9:30a.m., we all said goodbye to Salt Island and set off for a great day at Trellis Bay on Beef Island.

After the kids successfully sailed island to island, all boats arrived at Trellis Bay before 12:30p.m., just in time for our divers to return for a hearty lunch altogether before we were lifted away on an exciting riding tour of the island of Tortola. The kids all packed into the back of our Sail Caribbean pick-up truck and were able to see parts of the island they’ve never seen before, such as scenic overlooks onto the ocean and some architecture specific to the island.

Afterwards, kids prepared a delicious dinner, showered, and headed ashore for a Fourth of July fireball party at Aragorn’s local art studio on the beach. Kids were able to peruse the studio and shop, order specialty blended smoothie drinks, and boogie the night away on the dance floor after requesting their favorite songs from our DJ. By the time 10:00p.m. came around, everyone was happy and exhausted and headed back to boats before quickly falling asleep to rest up for their busy day tomorrow!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
