Today, we awoke full of excitement!, enjoying a delicious spread of breakfast foods followed by a clean up before our Rescue divers headed out for their first session of their Emergency First Responder course.  After pre-departure checks, the rest of the crews were ready to sail to our new location. We left Great Harbour and headed to Little Harbor on Peter Island. We had a circumnavigation sail of Peter Island so we all got a chance to practice being on the helm and witnessing the windward side of the island. We also practiced other skills including tacking and navigation.

Once we arrived at Little Harbour, we med-anchored and were ready to enjoy an active afternoon. We made a nice lunch of customized pizza bagels and then cleaned up a bit. We then got the chance to sail on Sail Caribbean’s 26ft training keelboats (Colgates), water sport and splash around. It was a great afternoon to hang with our friends and relax after an eventful sail in the morning.

Later on, we started showers and dinner of honey mustard chicken. We all helped make dinner delicious and had a peaceful meal under the stars in the remote location. We then cleaned up the boat and held a boat meeting. In our boat meeting, we did a ‘grateful’ circle, where we all students mentioned three things they we were grateful for. Our super fun day made us all sleepy so we headed to bed right after the boat meeting dreaming of what would come tomorrow.

More photos coming later tonight! We appreciate your patience.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
