This morning, the staff woke up to jib-sail the boats from Great Harbour, Peter Island to The Bight, Norman Island. The crew of Fermi had the option to sleep in during the staff sail however, Jakub decided that he wanted to wake up early and take the helm for the morning so he joined the staff! After successfully picking up a mooring ball at The Bight, the crew awoke and prepared breakfast to fuel their bodies before a beautiful hike in the rain up to a heli-pad. After the hike, Anton and Maeve prepared quesadillas with a huge variety of toppings for the boat. They were delicious!

After lunch, the crew returned to shore for an afternoon full of water sports and beach volleyball. Everyone managed to climb onto one upside down kayak while playing in the water! Stella also joined in on a game of beach ball while on shore. Meanwhile, Justin took a nap on a beach chair, successfully accomplishing his goal for the day, which was to relax as much as possible.

As the sun was setting, we all headed back to our boat. Dinner was made and Erin, Michael, Jakub and Anton geared up for their first night dive of the trip! After the dive, we all gathered in the salon for boat meeting and to write our Ship’s Log for the day. Today was Max’s birthday so everyone sang happy birthday and enjoyed a delicious cake after the boat meeting!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
