This morning started excellently by making chocolate chip banana pancakes. Megafleet was split apart by program to allow for each to perform their specialty. Today was made more enjoyable by the interactions we got to do with the other campers on fleet. Students were able to swim to and stay on other boats, broadening their horizons with the other members of our fleet.
Our Charlie divers got to go on their first dives, which included a trip to Thumb Rock. Our Foxtrot and Sierra students went to Palilu to do a Marine Biology lesson on the importance of seagrass and then performed a snorkel around Cane Garden Bay where they saw seagrass patches, a spotted eagle ray, and turtles. The Bravo campers got to sail to Soper’s Hole and then have some time on shore.
Once we all arrived at Soper’s and all were back to boats, we did some lessons on tying secondaries, fun shower times, and started cooking up a highlight: Pasta Dinner. Around dinner time our Provisions Manager, Lily, came around with extra ingredients and everyone wished her a very happy birthday. We’re all eagerly looking forward to going to docks tomorrow.
