Bravo, Charlie, Foxtrot, Sierra 1: Day 6 & 7 – Village Cay & The Bight
Day 6:

Today we woke up at 7 and made a breakfast spread. We then went to shore for some shop time and headed back to boats to prepare for departure. We motored to Soldiers Bay for a snorkel and fish ID session. We made pasta for lunch and then headed to Village Cay to dock. Once at Village Cay, we deep cleaned the boat and then headed to the restaurant for a buffet dinner followed by a movie (Surfs Up) and pool party! It was a great opportunity for all boats to mix and get to know each other. The best part of the day was seeing friends from other boats and hanging out to watch the movie.

Day 7:

This morning we woke up to gorgeous stormy skies while docked at the stunning Village Cay. Our day started with a yummy breakfast consisting of eggs and bacon. After everyone loaded up on breakfast the crew headed into town and had a little time to explore shops. We then headed back to the docks where we were welcomed by sunny skies.
The crew prepped all the boats for departure; making sure the lifelines were closed, the ropes coiled, and life jackets zipped before dropping the docking lines. Each boat successfully got off the docks and started making the trip to the Bight at Norman Island. The winds were strong and the seas were a little choppy, but it gave all the boats a chance to learn about reefing the sail. Stella Blu had an amazing sail raise, working together really well to keep the boat head to wind as we winched in the main halyard. It was a very exciting sail and the entire fleet was close together so the crews got to wave across the water at their friends as we made our way across the channel. As we approached Norman Island the boats lowered their sails and entered the Bight. Each boat worked together to pick up the mooring ball and most of the boats got the ball hooked on the first try.
Once all the boats were secured on the ball we turned off the engines, took off life jackets and started prepping pizza bagels for lunch. The afternoon and evening consisted of swimming, paddle boarding, and hanging out together on the boats. There was then shower time and dinner prep. On Stella Blu we chowed down on barbecue chicken, potato wedges and veggies. During dinner the sun was setting creating a gorgeous backdrop for a fun meal filled with laughs as we reflected on the day. The evening ended with a quick boat clean and boat meeting (with some sweet treats). Everyone settled in for bed under a beautiful sky full of stars and got in some much needed rest for the busy day ahead.
