Chalpha – Day 7

By wpdev August 13, 2014

Brought to you by Vivaldi…

It was an early start for the Vivaldi crew! We had to drop the ball at the Bitter End Yacht Club nice and early to get over to Nanny Cay for lunch and an afternoon dive. Lindsay took us out of the North Sound and led us through raising our sails. We sailed downwind through the Dog Islands to Nanny Cay. Anna took the helm underway and got in some great gybing practice! Once close to Nanny, we did some great cleaning in order to get the boat spotless for docks. Anna had an incredible docking with the help of the rest of the crew. Once on shore, everyone had a great time going to the shops and hanging out at the pool. We also got a chance to use our phones and take some awesome showers! The Sail Caribbean staff even completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on the beach to raise money and awareness for ALS. It was another great day in the Caribbean and we all got a chance to connect with each other on social media to keep in touch after the summer!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
