We woke up at Bitter End Yacht Club today where we would be spending the whole day! We began the day when Selena and Jerko made breakfast which was a buffet. We then shuttled to shore for a hike which was one of our more challenging hikes, but worth it. The views at the top were great and you could see all the way to Necker Island, Prickly Pear and Mosquito Island. When we returned to base, we began rotations of multiple activities for the day. Each person got to sail one of the three Hobie cats we had rented with people from different fleets which was a great opportunity to interact with new faces. Spencer, James, Chloe and Cailey all did really well at sailing the smaller sailboats, especially at sailing upwind!

There was also the chance to take a ride on poparazzi which James, Spencer, Harry and Sophia all took advantage of. Nicole and Louisa played volleyball in the ocean after returning from their time on the small sailboats. Everyone got the chance to try out the different rotations, whether it be water sporting or beach games or profiting from the chance to relax in hammocks under palm trees.

Later in the evening, we all returned to the boats to have showers and begin dinner prep. Today, our crew did a great job of making new friends and sailing the small sailboats. Our miracle moment was when we all got pizza at The Pub during lunch!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
