Charlie Bravo Day 10 : Brought to you by the crew of Vivaldi

By wpdev July 24, 2014

Some of us woke up at 5:49, looked at the time, decided it was far to early to get up, and fell back asleep until 8:30 to sleep in!

Vincent, Matt, and Shane went to the staff boat for a schedule and navigation briefing for today’s Challenge Day.

Today was the day where students need to do everything on their own without the help of counselors. We ate a delicious French Toast breakfast. Without any help from Cass or Joe, we sailed all the way to Drake’s Anchorage, which is an awesome scene in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda!

Vincent was the skipper and he got Vivaldi up to her top speed! Tanner was amazed at how much we heeled over and he loved it. Rob took control of the helm for a while and led us through some solid tacks. Matt and Shane navigated us to our destination. Craig monitored the depth while anchoring before Nick and Rob snorkeled on our anchor. Matt and Timmy cooked a scrumptious batch of chili for tonight’s Chili Cook-off! The “Chileans” came to visit us in the evening to taste, smell, and sing about their favorite food- Chilli!

It was another amazing day in the British Virgin Islands!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
