Charlie/ Bravo Day 15: Brought to you by the crew of JP

By wpdev July 7, 2014
This morning the crew of JP woke up extra early to play games on the beach. Lucila and Steph stepped up to lead the crew to success. It was race day, here at Sail Caribbean, so we plotted our course and unfurled our main sail before the race began. Connor lead the boat in tacking and also navigated the voyage.

At the start, we were neck and neck with Vivaldi and sailed really well to get windward of them. We tried working on our sail trim but we just somehow couldn’t get past the other boats; we suspect trickery. Monet went on to finish first due to a solid anchoring where Max, Bodhi, and Andrew were particularly stoked.

Vivaldi, led by Hayden, Christian, Aysha, and Anne, got to Lee Bay first, but it all came down to the snub line on the anchor, which they just could not handle the pressure! After lunch, Charlie divers went on a great dive where Henry F. saw two Eagle Rays! Tyler, Heather, Jackie, Lucila, and Reagan swam over to the other side of the bay and went bouldering on the nearby shore. Steph cooked afternoon pancakes that the crew loved and absolutely devoured (secret ingredient – vanilla).

Then the Bravo divers went on a night dive and everyone else went on a night snorkel where we saw some awesome bioluminescence! It was a great day here, in the British Virgin Islands!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
