Our crew had a nice relaxing morning at Scrub Island Resort which is located right next to Marina Cay. Students enjoyed spending the morning checking out the shops near the dock. After breakfast, everyone filled up their Nalgenes with plenty of hydration, strapped on flip flops and prepared to go on a short hike to the beach!

There is a small beach on the north side of Scrub that looks out to the Dog Islands and Guana Island. This beach was about a 15 minute hike of various elevations. Once arrived, students enjoyed the beach hut for some sodas and the pool that overlooked the beach. When everyone hiked back to the resort, we immediately went to the pool to check out the water slide! The pool at Scrub Island has a gorgeous infinity pool with an attached slide that shoots out to another pool with a waterfall! Needless to say, we were all starstruck by the resorts amenities.

When it was time for dinner, everyone returned to Zibal for a meal of chicken, rice, and beans as Fidji had made a voyage back to Hodges to have her sail repaired for the afternoon. The crew went to bed sharing stories of going down the water slide and their adventures at Scrub Island.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
