Delta 2: St. Martin & Ile Fourche

We arrived safely in St. Martin the next morning tired but in high spirits! After tidying up the boat, we went to shore to explore St Martin. Campers enjoyed a local smoothie stand, bakery, and an outdoor plaza full of local vendors. We then returned to boats for sea showers before dinner. For dinner we went ashore to a local French restaurant where everyone was excited to have a meal off the boat. They didn’t even have to do dinner clean. Campers returned to the boat with a full stomach and went to bed early! The trip down island is off to a great start and everyone is excited to explore what comes next.
Days 10 + 11:

We awoke at Marigot Bay st marten and headed ashore for covid testing. After our tests we headed to the Fort on a hill overlooking Marigot bay and explored the ruins. The views were stunning and we got some rad group photos. Then we headed back to boats and had some free time before heading to the island of Ile Fourche, after a smooth sail we headed ashore for a hike.

After an insane hike we headed back to boats and showered and had a quiet night on boats looking up at the insane stars above the uninhabited island of Île Fourchue.
The next morning we had an early wake up and a bumpy motor over the st Barths. After a stern to docking in the port of Gustavia one group headed for car tours of the island and the overlook at Colombier beach and another bad shop time in Gustavia. After a brief lunch break the groups switched and car tours even got to watch a plane fly right over at st Barths airport.
After car tours and shop time we headed to Shellona beach where everyone got to jump from jump rock and swim around in the crystal clear water. We then all headed back to boats and made dinner as we prepared for our soda social at Le Select, a fun restaurant in Gustavia. During our social everyone got Virgin drinks and danced before heading back to boats for boat meeting and a good night’s rest.
