Foxtrot 1 & Sierra 1 2018 Adventures Day 16 – Community Service Learning Snorkel Trash Clean

This morning, we woke up in Cane Garden Bay and cooked up some delicious breakfast before shuttling divers ashore to be picked up for some sight-seeing dives. At around 9 a.m., all boats left the mooring field and set sail for Trellis Bay. After a beautiful and soothing 4-hour sail, we arrived at Trellis and gobbled down lunch.
While waiting for divers to come back from their dive, the rest of the Foxtrot and Sierra fleet jumped off boats and played around in the water for a while. Once everyone was back together, we all shuttled to shore for some shop time and a truck tour, driven by Mike Liese, Sail Caribbean’s Founder/Director himself. During the truck tour, students sat in the back of a pick up truck and were driven around all of Tortola to check out its most awe-inspiring views and lookouts. Towards the end of the tour, Mike bought ice cream for everyone before dropping students back off to shore to return to boats.
Once all students were back to their boats, they hopped in the water for a community service learning snorkel trash clean. Once the snorkel clean was over, dinner prep commenced and students showered before powering down for sleep in preparation for the next fun day to come!
