Foxtrot 2 & Sierra 2 2018 Adventures Day 14 – Breathtaking Channel Navigation To Oil Nut Bay

Today, students woke up at Anegada after having completed an extraordinary Challenge Day the day before! Running off the positive steam of the successes the day before, it was another early morning so crews dropped the ball in their pj’s, munched on breakfast underway, and enjoyed a breezy morning sail over to Virgin Gorda.
As we approached our backdrop for the day, Oil Nut Bay, we passed through a breathtaking channel with beautiful mountains, rocks, and turquoise blue waters. Upon arrival to docks, we ferried over to the location’s resort with plans to bounce around the gorgeous island’s layout. Crews spent the afternoon swimming, trying their hand at sailing on Hobie cats, and spending time with friends under shady palm trees to relax from many active days in a row.
In the late afternoon, a small group helped a few staff catch and tag our first new turtle of the summer. It was a very exciting moment for both students and staff. We ferried back to home boats in the early evening, showered, had dinner, cleaned, and held boat meeting. Everyone was exhausted after a day in the sun but excited for more turtling tomorrow and a long afternoon sail!
